When

Well, when to shadow team rush is a good question, the answer is any time you want and/or you feel comfortable doing it. It can be done vs Nod, GDI, or Scrin and be successful. You can use them to hit expansions, kill low health buildings (cranes, power, barracks, and if you have 3 left by time he has an operations center/radar you can kill that too), kill infantry and scouting. It works best when you are random, so I'd suggest playing Random as it conceals your strategy and leaves your enemy in suspense. We will get into more depth about this later.

Where
There are different maps on when to do this, I think the best maps to use STs on are Small Town USA, Tournament Dustbowl, Tournament Arena, and possibly Tournament Rift, although I probably wouldn't do it there.

Ok, we ST (Shadow Team) rush the enemy to try and bring down there econ/expansion/scouting units. I will go into more depth later.

How
It is dynamic on where you should send your STs depending on the map you are playing on. I will only go over the maps listed above as they are the main ones I'd suggest using STs on.

Tournament Arena

Ok, the build order for Arena that I use is Power > Barracks > Shrine > Refinery > WF (War Factory) > Ref > Ref and then it is improvise from there. Build 2 engineers and 2 militants. Send 1 engineer to your spike and the other to your opponents. Put both militants in your bunkers so your enemy cannot capture your spike at all unless he clears the bunkers. Also build an emissary and send it to the blue, not too close to the field in case they try to rush it. Ok, so once you get your shrine, use the "Call in" ability that gives you 2 STs already in flight, right after that sell the Shrine which gives you 750 cash and another ST. You now have a total of 3 STs. The 2 STs that you got from the Call in ability land them in the path your second engineer is going (opponents spike aka the one farther from your conyard). The single ST you got from selling the Shrine send directly to your opponents expansion, it only takes 1 ST to kill an expansion. The other 2 will guide your engineer by killing riflemen/buzzers on the way. After you have scouted enough with the 2, get your engineer into the spike, you now have 2 spikes running which is a big income. Then send those 2 STs to your enemies base and kill a crane, if he has no crane kill his barracks or power plant. You now have a nice advantage over him with 2 spikes, he has no expansion and you killed any units/scouts and downed a building of his. After you build your WF (put it by expansion assuming he doesn't kill it, only nod can kill it with ST, otherwise your ST can stop disentigrators/rockets) make a harvester for your blue and place the Ref there. Then make a second ref at your green and another WF. Start spamming scorps and keep your STs alive. Losing 1 is ok, but don't lose 2 or you cant hit power plants anymore. If he chases you put them in a bunker. Use your scorps to own harvesters etc. this part I cant help you with because players vary.

我在竞技场的建造顺序通常是电场>兵营〉秘密神殿〉矿场〉重工〉矿场〉矿场,之后看情况而定。建造2个工程师和2队武装小队,派一个工程师占领你这边的矿柱,另一个去对手那边的。把2支武装小队分别放在你这边矿柱的碉堡里,这样敌人在清掉碉堡之前就不能占领矿柱了。造一辆勘探车去蓝矿展开,别离矿区太进以免被人打掉。好,当你神殿造好后立刻呼叫2支影队抵达战场,之后卖掉神殿得到750大元和另一支影队,把召唤来的影队放到你第二个工程师的路线上。卖神殿得到的影队直接去对手的前哨,消灭前哨只要1个就行了(1.09没戏了……)!另2支保护你的工程师消灭沿途的蜂群或小兵,当你工程师进入矿柱之后,你就有了2根矿柱为你带来巨大经济效益了。之后把这两支影队派往敌人基地中炸一座起重机,没起重机就炸兵营或者电场。现在你的巨大优势在于2矿柱、对手没有前哨、你杀了他一些步兵并且炸了座建筑。重工造好后,将其放在分基地旁,他肯定炸不掉(除非Nod用影队,否则你的影队早把其粉碎则或火箭兵消灭了),为你的蓝矿区再造一辆矿车。之后给你的绿矿区造下一座矿场和重工。开始暴蝎子坦克兵保证你的影子小队能够活下去。损失1个无所谓,损失2个你就不能再炸电场了。如果对手派兵追杀你的影子小队就把它们放进碉堡,别忘了用蝎子打击对手矿车。再往后由于对手战术不同,我就帮不到你了。

 

 

Tournament Dustbowl

The build for this map is PP > Barracks > Shrine > Ref > WF > Ref Ref. Send expansion to the second closest tib field to you, and crawl towards the closest field. Do the same thing as you did on arena. Make 2 engineers from your barracks, send 1 to each spike. Use the call in ability for 2 ST and sell the Shrine after for 1 ST. Send 1 ST to one spike, and the other 2 ST to the other spike. The objective of this (just like Tourney Arena) is to get the spikes, as they give you a huge advantage economy-wise. So micro your engineers and pay close attention with your STs. This works even better if they try to go for the spikes themselves, whether it be 1 or 2 because they wasted time/money for nothing. Another advantage. After your expansion is done, place WF and make a harv for that far away tib field, and put your next Ref there. Then put another Ref at your home tib. So this like Arena you have 2 harvs at each field. Later on you can have up to 4 harvesters at your far tib. Also when crawling make sure you use cranes/operations centers/tech/more Refs to get to your close tib field. Now you can scorp spam and go for your opponents harvesters. The amount of WFs you make after 2 is up to you. For arena you can go for 3-5 depending if you are teching or going for a spam win. For dustbowl however, i suggest only 2 as there is no blue tib.

这张地图的建造顺序是电场〉兵营〉秘密神殿〉矿场〉重工〉矿场〉矿场(好像跟上一个一样嘛- -)。把前哨派往地图中部离你较近的矿区,最近的矿区直接用基地连过去。跟竞技场的思路一样,兵营出2个工程师,每根矿柱派一个。然后召唤2队影子卖神殿再得1影子。派1队影子去一根矿柱,另2队去另一根。目标是占领矿柱,这会给你巨大的经济优势。所以你要对工程师和影队进行小心谨慎的操作,这比不管他们要好得多,不然很容易浪费了时间金钱却什么也没得到。在勘探车展开之后,把重工造在那里为该矿区造辆矿车并把第二个矿场也放在那。下一座矿场放在老家。现在的情况跟竞技场类似,每片矿你有2辆车开采,随后你可以把分矿的车增加到4辆。别忘了用起重机/雷达/高科以及更多矿场延展到你最近那片矿区。接下来你可以暴蝎子了,造是否超过2座重工由你决定。在竞技场你可造3-5座重工取决于是攀科技还是暴兵,但是由于沙漏没有蓝矿,我建议2座重工就够了。
