The Orca can be purchased from your Airfield, and costs $1100. The Orca is great against Scrin players once their tripods are up. They are also great for taking out harvesters while working wonders late game against Tripods.

Although the Orca is very weak in terms of armor, if micro'ed correctly, they can help you to take down harvesters. In games that are at a stalemate, the man with the most air typically is the victor.

虽然奥卡的装甲很脆弱，但如果微操得当，它们在猎杀矿车上对你很有帮助。一旦比赛进入僵局，胜利将属于更多使用空军的一方。

It takes 3 Orcas to kill 1 harvester, despite their lack of armor, they unload their volleys very quick. Usually giving you enough time to get in and out unharmed. It's important to note that 2 Orcas can easily destroy a nod harvester, 1 Orca strike can destroy a nod crane, and 1 Orca strike + 2 Orcas can destroy a scrin harvester. Going 1 Orca + 1 strike can destroy a scrin crane or power plant. Following it up with 3 Orcas can destroy a harvester before there are more than 3 seekers. And finally, an Orca Strike combined with 4 Orcas can finish off a Tech Center.

Being able to Micro your Orcas is also very important. For instance, Your Orca will always unload one too many missiles into a near dead opponent. You need to watch the volleys and know when the final volley will kill the enemy unit/structure. The Orca only carries 6 missiles, each one is very valuable, and wasting one into the ground isn’t efficient.

Orcas also have the Sensor Pods that when placed will continuously scan that area for stealthed units, and simply to keep that area out of the fog.

Going for Orcas too early simply is not effective. With the seeker spam and the man spam, they would get eaten alive.

This tip does not, I repeat does not suggest going for an all air army, however having the Orcas does boost your arsenal and will give you more options when considering attacking and harassment.
